Projects that you might be working on day-to-day include:
- Global value dossiers
- Payer value propositions and objection handlers
- HTA submissions (NICE, SMC, NCPE, plus AMCP dossiers)
- Access landscape analyses
- Evidence and access strategy planning workshops
- Scientific advice projects (e.g. NICE, joint advice, parallel advice)
Where we excel at redthread is in blending brilliant writing with our knowledge of market access. You’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in activities across the business, as a member of the redthread Senior Leadership Team.
- As a member of the redthread Senior Leadership Team, contribute to developing the strategic direction for redthread, and then take responsibility for executing on that vision
- Position redthread as a “trusted partner” for our clients. Nurture your client relationships, by conducting quarterly business reviews, and utilise our team to conduct additional due diligence on their therapy area, drug and key competitors.
- Develop and maintain a clear growth plan for your clients and accounts, using our account growth framework, and generate £750,000 of new business for redthread every year
- Develop and maintain your position as a market access thought leader
- Maintain a relentless focus on quality of deliverables and of client service, and ensuring the Net Promoter Scores for your accounts are always over 80
- Ultimate accountability for successful project delivery, both in terms of timings (hitting deadlines), deliverable quality, client satisfaction and delivering within the proposed budget
- Providing strategic support and guidance for the Consulting and Writing teams when reviewing deliverables, and ensuring that deliverables address the strategic challenges and client KPIs required
- Coaching responsibility for Consulting and Writing team members, acting as a mentor and guide
Ultimately, you’ll be a senior leader in redthread, with the responsibility that goes alongside that. So you’ll need to have a level of experience that enables you to make that step. Ideally you’d have around 8+ years’ experience – any less than that and we’d be throwing you in at the deep end. That’s not how we work at redthread.
You’ll need to be able to provide your colleagues with support, guidance and the benefit of your experience. You’ll manage relationships with clients brilliantly, showing the team how to deliver extraordinary client service and deliverables. And you’ll teach, train and provide mentoring and support.
A background in life-science writing and/or consulting is important (either within pharma or agency), and existing knowledge of market access and value communications is critical. We’d love someone with previous experience at a senior level in a market access consulting environment . You need to have strategic expertise in a particular area. That might be HTA. Or value communications. Or something else. But bringing strategic expertise to projects is a must.
You’ll also need to to have experience coordinating successful project delivery with no – or minimal – supervision. And given your business development role, you’ll need to have experience developing proposals and delivering new business independently.
The salary range for this role is £80-100k, depending on your experience. The more experience you have across our core deliverables, in managing and coaching people, and in developing strong partnerships with clients (and bringing in new business), the more towards to top end of that range you’ll be. All our roles at redthread have a published salary range, from entry level to Managing Director.
Our benefits include at least 25 days’ holiday (increasing each year) plus your birthday off, Vitality private medical insurance, and industry-leading family friendly policies, including 8 weeks at full pay for the birth or adoption of a child, irrespective of gender (yours, not the baby’s!).
Home based (though you must have the legal right to work in the UK, irrespective of location). We appreciate that while working from home has its perks, it can also be lonely, which is why we offer lots of opportunities to connect with the rest of the team. Twice yearly face-to-face retreats, and redthread VR headsets so that we can all connect virtually in the metaverse as well.
This role can be either full or part time (ideally full time) - we measure commitment by how committed you are, not by the hours you work. As with many aspects of our roles, when and where you work can be flexible, to suit your lifestyle and situation.
